You have some good start. Try different brushes to get some texture. Try speedpaint to improve your stroke work. Keep it up!

Barontieri used to give his on his personal website. I saw he made some changes, I dunno where they are anymore.
Pao made some good brushes if you know about him.
Mathias Verhasselt shares his too.
But of you look on the internet for speedpainting brushes you should find what you want.

Or you can make them if you're using Photoshop. You just have to take picture of a random texture and go in Edition>define as pattern. Then when you custom your brushes (using the Form window) you have to add "pattern" and click on it to pick up yours.
